The Best Stops in Scotland and the Lake District

Scotland is not so far away. Only eight hours drive from London. Sometimes the places that are easiest to get to, take you the longest to finally go to. It was because of this that I demanded to go to Scotland this year. I often make demands of my partner (and of myself!), I find this has a better effect than mere suggestions or subtle wishes. The trip came together at the last minute and some of it just in time which is sometimes the best way to do things. Sponteniety is not my strong suit but I managed a bit of it on this roadtrip.

Amalfi Dreams

I never wrote about my life-changing trip to the Amalfi Coast! Dear me, I am SO sorry. Sorry for you if you haven’t been to the Amalfi Coast, and sorry again if you didn’t get to experience it vicariously through me! Now seems the perfect time to bring it up again because guess what? You can’t go anywhere. Neither can I. We are all stuck in our respective houses, flats, apartments, shoeboxes, wherever you call home. Why Denver is a Great (and Weird!) Place to Go

Denver is trending. It was probably always great but only now have people started to take notice. And when I say people, I mean me, because I’m usually a few years behind the trends. They are so weird that they don’t need to fight for the slogan “Make Denver Weird”. All this made for a great week-long visit to the Mile High City.

The London Tour Continues

For my readers, the dozens of you (Dozens!) that enjoyed my London Walking Tour post, this is the next chapter in that series. I anticipate it being a never-ending series as I can’t imagine a day where the pleasures of London have all been discovered. This time, my walk brought me along the North Bank of the Thames as I made my pilgrimage to Hyde Park. Let’s explore some of the sights along the way.

Girls Trip in Nashville

I am a big fan of domestic travel right now. It’s time we Americans show some gratitude for the vast and diverse landscape that we inhabit. Wanderlust can be cured in our backyard for a lot less than a European tour or soul-searching excursion in South America. Less time, less money, less planning. It’s a triple win.

Me and some of my oldest friends decided to take a girls trip together. We are spread out in the corners of the country representing Texas, New York, and California, so we met in a semi-central location: Nashville, Tennessee.
