‘A beautiful part of the world’ has to be the

‘A beautiful part of the world’ has to be the most used phrase to describe the Lake District (and in my experience to describe Cornwall, Norfolk, The Peaks, The Cotswolds, all of Wales and Scotland).

While I definitely think the English need to learn some more creative prose, they’re not wrong.

Only after moving to the UK did I learn that changing robes were a thing (because the beaches are too cold to dry yourself in the sun or actually stay in your wet swimsuit). But boy was I missing out because there is something amazing about that warm fuzzy feeling after going for an ice cold swim ☺️
